What are these travel scholarships and what do they cover?

YatraUtsav.com is an online platform which aggregates and lists various Sanatani yatras from across Bharat. These yatras are curated, small groups of like-minded travellers between the age of 18-70 years. These yatras are sanatani, satvik, safe, secure and satsang oriented. You can watch user experiences on our insta handle and get more info on our website.
These yatra packages are premium (pricing and experience) and cost between INR 25,000 to INR 45,000 per participant not including the cost of travel from participant city to the yatra destination or the return journey. The yatra group start from the destination city and end there only.

What are these travel scholarships by YatraUtsav.com?

To encourage young student travellers who are still in college (18-24 years) and are Sanatani (Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist or Jain) YatraUtsav.com has travel scholarships and fellowships which cover the cost of up to 100% of the yatra package cost covered*.
YatraUtsav.com invites scholarship applications for being considered for 8 (Eight) such scholarship awards across the next 12 months (starting November 2025).
Eligibility criteria: Sanatani college students between 18-24 years of age at the time of application.

Evaluation criteria

Your profile (financial, educational, social) and your interest (Sanatan, Bharat, Travel etc.). A YatraUtsav.com or YU committee will screen and inform the selected first round candidates for a short assignment (write a short piece or create story content on Bharat or Sanatan). We will create a final shortlist of applicants who have been granted the scholarship for travel across any one yatra listed on the platform.

Waitlist

YU will keep a waitlist/alternate back up list for shortlisted candidates who do not qualify in the first round. YU will not immediately notify alternates or waitlisted candidates. However, YU do select alternate or waitlisted candidates in the event that a scholarship award is forfeited. Alternates or waitlisted are selected based on the original application.

Timelines

Application by eligible YTC student participants to be completed and submitted latest by Sunday 19th October 2025. First round list will be ready by 31st October 2025 and successful applicants will be contacted individually towards a short assignment towards final consideration by Friday 7th November 2025. Successful scholarships awardees will be notified latest by Friday 14th November 2025.

*Terms & conditions apply. Selection decision of the YU team will be considered final. Selected students will bear their own travel cost to and from the place of the start of the yatra. Selected scholars will also agree to abide by the rules and guidelines of each yatra as applicable to other yatris.
